Wow!
While I was surprised to find out that a relationship that he claims to be so new is culminating in matrimony, I have to say I couldn't be happier. There is no better way to get total and complete closure than for him to culminate what he has been consummating for over a year now. Certainly it gives me the freedom to get on with my life.
And I can't think of two people living in sin who are more perfect for each other.
So what are my feelings? I don't know. I really am not feeling anything. I am not sad. I'm not angry. I'm not bitter. I'm not terribly surprised. And I actually am happy for them.
So, if you have been thinking that there was some hope for repairing a broken relationship with some idiot that you were dating, don't count on the words of God or the hopes of your heart to necessarily come true. And that isn't necessarily a BAD thing. God always answers our prayers. Sometimes the answer is no. And that is okay. God always has your best interests at heart when you are serving Him.
I've learned in talking with mutual friends not only about Galen's impending vows but that he is telling people that I am practicing my addiction. That is fine. Anything that Galen can say or do isn't going to have any impact on me. Believe me I am as far over and beyond him as I ever dreamed I could be. Galen isn't worth gambling over. Galen isn't worth worrying over. Galen isn't worth my time, my thoughts, or my prayers.
Amen.
